The Kleiner Vorhang, or "Little Curtain" in English, is a German musical act characterized by their poetic lyrics and indie-pop sound. The band was founded in Hamburg in 2015 by lead singer and guitarist Isabelle Erkendal and percussionist and producer Ralf-Georg Mayer.
Kleiner Vorhang's music is highly influenced by the duo's favorite German musicians, such as Annett Louisan and Mia, as well as international indie artists like Feist and The Postal Service. The band's thoughtful lyrics often deal with relationships and introspection, while their sound is characterized by dreamy guitar melodies and electronic beats.
In 2018, Kleiner Vorhang released their debut EP, "Nein danke, gute Nacht", which received positive reviews from music critics in Germany. Since then, the band has been gaining a following in the indie music scene both nationally and internationally.
